The Off-delay Function for the Driver's Power Window does not Work, or it Works Continuously [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK MALFUNCTIONS 
    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    2. Operate the power window regulator master switch assembly and check that the power window (driver's side) works in automatic operation.

      Does the power window operate automatically according to switch operation?

      Result Proceed to
      YES A
      NO B

    Result: 

    PERFORM THE DIAGNOSIS FOR "WHEN THE DRIVER'S SWITCH IS OPERATED, THE DRIVER'S SIDE POWER WINDOW DOES NOT WORK IN AUTOMATIC OPERATION". Refer to  When the Driver's Switch is Operated, the Driver's Side Power Window does not Work in Automatic Operation [11/2021 - ]  

    Result:

  2. CHECK DTC 
    1. Using the GTS, read the DTCs of [Power Window (Switch)] and [Power Window (Driver)].

      Body Electrical > Power Window (Switch) > Trouble Codes 

      Body Electrical > Power Window (Driver) > Trouble Codes 

      Are any DTCs displayed?

      Result Proceed to
      YES A
      NO B

    Result: 

    PERFORM THE DIAGNOSIS FOR THE DISPLAYED DTCS

  3. CHECK [DRIVER'S DOOR SW INPUT] AND [P-DOOR SW INPUT] (DATA LIST) 
    1. Using the GTS, check the following items in the [Data List] of [Body Control].

      Body Electrical > Body Control > Data List 

      Tester Display Measurement Item Range Diagnostic Note
      Driver's door SW input ON/OFF status of the driver's door switch. Main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) input value. Set to ON when the door is open. OFF or ON -
      P-door SW input ON/OFF status of the passenger's door switch. Main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) input value. Set to ON when the door is open. OFF or ON -

      Body Electrical > Body Control > Data List 

      Tester Display
      Driver's door SW input
      P-door SW input

      Does the display change according to the door open/close?

      Result Proceed to
      YES A
      NO B

    Result: 

    INSPECT DOOR SWITCH CIRCUIT. Refer to  Check Door Switch [11/2021 - ]

  4. CHECK [OPERATION ENABLE SIGNAL] (DATA LIST) 
    1. Using the GTS, check the following items in the [Data List] of [Power Window (Driver)].

      Body Electrical > Power Window (Driver) > Data List 

      Tester Display Measurement Item Range Diagnostic Note
      Operation Enable Signal Operation permission signal Not Permit
      Permit
      -

      Body Electrical > Power Window (Driver) > Data List 

      Tester Display
      Operation Enable Signal

      Is the display as follows?

      - With the front door closed, does the display indicate [Permit] for approximately 40 seconds after IGN ON → OFF?

      Also, does the display indicate [Not Permit] after 40 seconds passed?

      - With the front door closed, does the display indicate [Not Permit] when the driver's door or the passenger's door is opened during approximately 40 seconds after IGN ON → OFF?

      Result Proceed to
      YES A
      NO B

    Result: 

    REPLACE THE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - ] 

    Result: 

    INSPECT THE MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) 

    Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [11/2021 - ]

    If no fault is found in the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), replace the power window regulator motor assembly LH.
