DTC P24B9: EVAP System Leak Detection Pump Pressure Sensor Circuit Range/Performance [11/2021 - ]: Procedure
- CHECK DTC
- Turn the ignition switch to ON.
- Using GTS or a general scan tool, read the DTC of [Engine].
Powertrain > Engine Control System > Trouble Codes
Is DTC other than P24B9 displayed? (Current code)
Result Proceed to Yes (Check the appropriate DTC using the "Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)".) A No B

- CHECK DATA MONITOR
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (engine OFF).
- Using GTS, read the values of [Absolute Evap System Vapor Pressure] and [Mani. Absolute Pressure] to compare with actual atmospheric pressure.
Is the difference with the actual atmospheric pressure 2.53 kPa (18.98 mmHg, 0.75 inHg, 0.37 psi) or more?
Result Proceed to Yes (If deviations in value for [Absolute Evap System Vapor Pressure] is larger: Replace the canister pump module.) A Yes (If deviations in value for [Mani. Absolute Pressure] is larger: Replace the manifold absolute pressure sensor.) B No (Even if DTC is detected, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.)
HINT:
In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.C
