DTC P2195: A/F / O2 Sensor Signal Biased/Stuck Lean Bank 1 Sensor 1 [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR CONNECTOR
    1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
    2. Check the air fuel ratio sensor connector.

      Has water entered the connector?

      Result Proceed to
Yes (Completely remove any water inside.) A
      No B

    Result:

    COMPLETELY REMOVE ANY WATER INSIDE

    Result:

    See step  2

  2. CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN ECM AND AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR CONNECTOR
    1. Disconnect the connector from ECM.
    2. Measure the resistance between the ECM connector and engine ground.

      Connector & terminal

      B1-3 (AFR+) - Engine ground

      B1-4 (AFR-) - Engine ground

Is the resistance 1 MΩ or more?

      Result Proceed to
      Yes A
No (Repair the short circuit to ground in harness between ECM connector and air fuel ratio sensor connector.) B

    Result:

    REPAIR HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    Result:

    See step  3

  3. CHECK OUTPUT SIGNAL FOR ECM
    1. Disconnect the connector from ECM.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Measure the voltage between ECM connector and engine ground.

      Connector & terminal

      B1-3 (AFR+) - Engine ground

Is the voltage 4.5 V or higher?

      Result Proceed to
      Yes A
      No B

    Result:

    See step  5

    Result:

    See step  4

  4. CHECK OUTPUT SIGNAL FOR ECM
    1. Measure the voltage between ECM connector and engine ground.

      Connector & terminal

      B1-4 (AFR-) - Engine ground

Is the voltage 4.95 V or higher?

      Result Proceed to
      Yes A
No (Replace the air fuel ratio sensor.) B

    Result:

REPLACE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - ]

    Result:

    See step  5

  5. CHECK OUTPUT SIGNAL FOR ECM
    1. Measure the voltage between ECM connector and engine ground.

      Connector & terminal

      B1-3 (AFR+) - Engine ground

      B1-4 (AFR-) - Engine ground

Is the voltage 8 V or higher?

      Result Proceed to
Yes (Repair the short circuit to power in the harness between ECM connector and air fuel ratio sensor connector. After repair, replace the ECM.) A
No (Repair the poor contact of ECM connector.) B

    Result:

    REPAIR CONNECTOR

    Result:

    See step  6

  6. REPAIR HARNESS
    1. Repair the ground short circuit of harness between ECM connector and air fuel ratio sensor connector.

      Replace the ECM if defective.

      Result Proceed to
      Yes A
      No B

    Result:

REPLACE ECM. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - ]

    Result:

    END
