On-Vehicle Inspection [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT MASS AIR FLOW METER 
    1. Remove the mass air flow meter.

      Refer to REMOVAL [11/2021 - ] 

      HINT: 

      Do not disconnect the mass air flow meter connector.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON. (do not start the engine)
    3. Read the value displayed on the GTS.

      Powertrain > Engine Control System > Data List 

      Tester Display
      Mass Air Flow
    4. Check that the Mass Air Flow changes when air is blown to the mass air flow meter unit in the arrow direction.

      Air
      NOTE:

      Be careful that no dust enter inside the unit when air is blown.

    5. Install the mass air flow meter.

      Refer to INSTALLATION [11/2021 - ]
