Confirmation Driving Pattern
By performing a confirmation drive, you can confirm the reoccurrence of DTC.
WARNING:
When performing the confirmation driving pattern, obey all speed limits and traffic laws.
- Clear the DTCs (even if no DTCs are stored, perform the clear DTC procedure).
- Turn the ignition switch off and wait for at least 30 seconds.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON [A].
- Put the engine in Inspection Mode (for measuring Exhaust Gas).
- Start the engine.
- Accelerate the vehicle to 30 km/h (18.65 mph) or more, depress the brake pedal and decelerate the vehicle to 3 km/h (1.86 mph) or less [B]. Repeat step [B] 5 times.
- Drive the vehicle at 40 km/h (25 mph) or more for 60 seconds or more [C].
- Read the pending DTCs.
HINT:
- If a pending DTC is output, the system is malfunctioning.
- If a pending DTC is not output, perform the following procedure.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Utility / All Readiness.
- Input the DTC: P1610-09.
- Check the DTC judgment result.
HINT:
- If the judgment result is NORMAL, the system is normal.
- If the judgment result is ABNORMAL, the system is malfunctioning.
