Pre-procedure1

1. Disconnect the A28 4 wheel drive control ECU connector.

   Procedure1

2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Voltage

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   A28-1 (TM1) - Body ground	Ignition switch off	Below 1.5 V
   A28-1 (TM1) - Body ground	Ignition switch ON	Below 1.5 V
   A28-2 (TM2) - Body ground	Ignition switch off	Below 1.5 V
   A28-2 (TM2) - Body ground	Ignition switch ON	Below 1.5 V

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

   Post-procedure1

3. Connect the A28 4 wheel drive control ECU connector.

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

Result: 

OK

   Procedure1

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   A28-1 (TM1) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   A28-2 (TM2) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

   Post-procedure1

3. Connect the A28 4 wheel drive control ECU connector.

Result: 

OK 

REPLACE 4 WHEEL DRIVE CONTROL ECU

Result: 

NG

1. Disconnect the A28 4 wheel drive control ECU connector.
2. Disconnect the F37 transfer shift actuator assembly connector.

   Procedure1

3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   A28-1 (TM1) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   A28-2 (TM2) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

   Post-procedure1

4. Connect the F37 transfer shift actuator assembly connector.
5. Connect the A28 4 wheel drive control ECU connector.

Result: 

OK 

REPLACE TRANSFER SHIFT ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
