  1. CHECK FUSE
    1. Check the fuse.

      Is the check result OK?

      Result Proceed to
      Yes A
No (Replace the fuse. When the replaced fuse is blown immediately, check the power supply circuit for short circuited.) B

    Result:

    REPLACE FUSE

    1. Replace the fuse.
    2. When the replaced fuse is blown immediately, check the power supply circuit for short circuited.

    Result:

    See step  2

  2. CHECK DATA MONITOR
    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    2. Using the GTS, check the following items in the [Data Monitor] of [Keyless Access with Push Button Start(Power Supply)].

Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST [11/2021 - ]

      • IGN1/2 relay monitor (drive output)

Is the display normal according to the ignition switch operation?

      Result Proceed to
      Yes A
      No B

    Result:

    See step  5

    Result:

    See step  3

  3. CHECK HARNESS (OPEN CIRCUIT)
    1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
    2. Disconnect the connector from the steering lock actuator assembly.
    3. Using a tester, measure the resistance between the steering lock actuator assembly connector and chassis ground.

      Connector & terminal

      F6-1 (GND) - Chassis ground

Is the resistance less than 1 Ω?

      Result Proceed to
      Yes A
No (Repair or replace the open circuit of harness.) B

    Result:

REPAIR OR REPLACE THE OPEN CIRCUIT OF HARNESS

    Result:

    See step  4

  4. CHECK HARNESS
    1. Connect the connector to the steering lock actuator assembly.
    2. Using a tester, measure the voltage between the steering lock actuator assembly connector terminals.

      Connector & terminal

      F6-6 (IGN1) (+) - F6-1 (GND) (-)

Is the voltage 11 - 14 V with IG ON? Is the voltage less than 1 V with IG OFF?

      Result Proceed to
Yes (Replace the steering lock actuator assembly.) A
No (Check the DC power supply circuit.) B

    Result:

REPLACE STEERING LOCK ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY. Refer to  DISASSEMBLY [11/2021 - ]

    Result:

CHECK THE DC POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT

  5. CHECK DTC
    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    2. Read the DTC of [Keyless Access with Push Button Start(Power Supply)] using the GTS.

Is DTC B2271 displayed? (Current code)

      Result Proceed to
Yes (Perform the diagnosis of DTC B2271.) A
No (Replace the smart key ECU assembly.) B

    Result:

PERFORM THE DIAGNOSIS OF DTC B2271. Refer to  DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART [11/2021 - ]

    Result:

REPLACE SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - ]
