      • Steering unlock SW: OFF

      When unlocked:

      • Steering unlock SW: ON

      HINT:

To lock the steering lock, turn off the power, and open → close, or close → open the driver's door. To unlock the steering lock, turn the ignition switch to ACC ON or IGN ON.

Is the display shown as above according to the steering lock status?

      Result Proceed to
Yes (Replace the smart key ECU assembly.) A
      No B

    Result:

REPLACE SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [11/2021 - ]

    Result:

    See step  5

  5. CHECK FUSE
    1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
    2. Check the fuse.

      Is the check result OK?

      Result Proceed to
      Yes A
No (Replace the fuse. When the replaced fuse is blown immediately, check the power supply circuit for short circuited.) B

    Result:

    REPLACE FUSE

    1. Replace the fuse.
    2. When the replaced fuse is blown immediately, check the power supply circuit for short circuited.

    Result:

    See step  6

  6. CHECK HARNESS
    1. Disconnect the connector from the smart key ECU assembly.
    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
    3. Using a tester, measure the voltage between smart key ECU assembly connectors.

      Connector & terminal

      F8-1 (+B2) (+) - Chassis ground (-)

      F8-4 (+B1) (+) - Chassis ground (-)
