DTC P2123: Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor/Switch "D" Circuit High [11/2021 - ]: Procedure
- CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN ECM AND ACCELERATOR PEDAL (WITH SENSOR) ROD ASSEMBLY CONNECTOR (OPEN)
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Disconnect the connector from ECM.
- Disconnect the connector from the accelerator pedal (with sensor) rod assembly.
- Measure the resistance of harness between ECM connector and accelerator pedal (with sensor) rod assembly connector.

A5-66 (ACCM) - A17-6
Is the resistance less than 1 Ω?
Result Proceed to Yes A No (Repair the open circuit of harness between ECM connector and accelerator pedal (with sensor) rod assembly connector.) B

- CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN ECM AND ACCELERATOR PEDAL (WITH SENSOR) ROD ASSEMBLY CONNECTOR (OPEN)
- Connect the connector to ECM.
- Measure the resistance between accelerator pedal (with sensor) rod assembly connector and chassis ground.

A17-5 - Chassis ground
Is the resistance less than 5 Ω?
Result Proceed to Yes A No (Repair the following item.) - Open circuit in harness between ECM connector and ground
- Poor contact of ECM connector

- CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN ECM AND ACCELERATOR PEDAL (WITH SENSOR) ROD ASSEMBLY CONNECTOR (SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY)
- Turn the ignition to ON.
- Measure the voltage between accelerator pedal (with sensor) rod assembly connector and chassis ground.

A17-6 - Chassis ground
Is the voltage 5 V or higher?
Result Proceed to Yes (Repair the short circuit to power supply in harness between ECM connector and accelerator pedal (with sensor) rod assembly connector.) A No B

- CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN ECM AND ACCELERATOR PEDAL (WITH SENSOR) ROD ASSEMBLY CONNECTOR (LINE-TO-LINE SHORT)
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Disconnect the connector from ECM.
- Measure the resistance between ECM connectors.
Connector & terminal
A5-51 (AVCC3) - A5-66 (ACCM)
Is the resistance 1 MΩ or more?
Result Proceed to Yes (Repair the poor contact of accelerator pedal (with sensor) rod assembly connector.) A No (Repair the short circuit between lines in harness between ECM connector and accelerator pedal (with sensor) rod assembly connector.) B
