DTC P2196: A/F / O2 Sensor Signal Biased/Stuck Rich Bank 1 Sensor 1 [11/2021 - ]: Procedure
- CHECK AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR CONNECTOR
- Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
- Check the air fuel ratio sensor connector.
Has water entered the connector?
Result Proceed to Yes (Completely remove any water inside.) A No B

COMPLETELY REMOVE ANY WATER INSIDE

- CHECK HARNESS BETWEEN ECM AND AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR CONNECTOR (OPEN)
- Disconnect the connector from ECM.
- Disconnect the connector from the air fuel ratio sensor.
- Measure the resistance of harness between ECM connector and air fuel ratio sensor connector.

B1-3 (AFR+) - B13-3
B1-4 (AFR-) - B13-4
Is the resistance less than 1 Ω?
Result Proceed to Yes A No (Repair the open circuit of harness between ECM connector and air fuel ratio sensor connector.) B

- CHECK FOR POOR CONTACT
- Check for poor contact of the air fuel ratio sensor connector.
Is there poor contact of air fuel ratio sensor connector?
Result Proceed to Yes (Repair the poor contact of air fuel ratio sensor connector.) A No (Replace the air fuel ratio sensor.) B
