Operation Check [11/2021 - ]

  1. BASIC INSPECTION 

    Before performing diagnosis, check the following items which might affect power windows related problems.

    1. Check the battery.

      Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [11/2021 - ]

    2. Check the main and other fuses, and harnesses. Also check for proper grounding.
  2. POWER WINDOW SWITCH (WITH AUTO FUNCTION) OPERATION PROCEDURES

    *1 Manual up operation (one-step up) *2 Automatic up operation (two-step up)
    *3 Manual down operation (one-step down) *4 Automatic down operation (two-step down)
  3. INSPECTION MODE 

    It is possible to diagnose the DTC by performing the indicated inspection mode. After correcting the DTC, perform a necessary inspection mode and make sure that the function is resumed correctly and the DTC is recorded.

    1. INSPECTION MODE 1
      DTC Description & trouble part Note
      B2B00 Driver's Door Power Window Auto Switch Stuck -

      Diagnostic procedure: 

      1. Using the GTS, perform the clear memory of [Power Window (Driver)].
      2. Using the GTS, read the DTC of [Power Window (Driver)] to check that there is no DTC displayed.

        HINT: 

        If the DTC is displayed on the screen, the trouble is still present. Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs. After solving the DTC, repeat from step 1).

      3. Using the driver's side power window switch, operate the automatic up/down feature and check that the window works in automatic operation.
      4. Using the GTS, read the DTC of [Power Window (Driver)] to check that there is no DTC displayed.

        HINT: 

        If the DTC is displayed on the screen, the trouble is still present. Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs.

    2. INSPECTION MODE 2

      B2B01 Driver's Door Power Window Manual Up Switch Stuck -

      Diagnostic procedure: 

      1. Using the GTS, perform the clear memory of [Power Window (Driver)].
      2. Using the GTS, read the DTC of [Power Window (Driver)] to check that there is no DTC displayed.

        HINT: 

        If the DTC is displayed on the screen, the trouble is still present. Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs. After solving the DTC, repeat from step 1).

      3. Using the driver's side power window switch, operate the manual up feature and check that the window rolls up.
      4. Using the GTS, read the DTC of [Power Window (Driver)] to check that there is no DTC displayed.

        HINT: 

        If the DTC is displayed on the screen, the trouble is still present. Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs.

    3. INSPECTION MODE 3

      B2B02 Driver's Door Power Window Manual Down Switch Stuck -

      Diagnostic procedure: 

      1. Using the GTS, perform the clear memory of [Power Window (Driver)].
      2. Using the GTS, read the DTC of [Power Window (Driver)] to check that there is no DTC displayed.

        HINT: 

        If the DTC is displayed on the screen, the trouble is still present. Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs. After solving the DTC, repeat from step 1).

      3. Using the driver's side power window switch, operate the manual down feature and check that the window rolls down.
      4. Using the GTS, read the DTC of [Power Window (Driver)] to check that there is no DTC displayed.

        HINT: 

        If the DTC is displayed on the screen, the trouble is still present. Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs.

      Diagnostic procedure: 

      1. Using the GTS, perform the clear memory of [Power Window (Switch)], [Power Window (Driver)] or [Power Window (Passenger)].
      2. Using the GTS, read the [Power Window (Switch)], [Power Window (Driver)] or [Power Window (Passenger)] DTC and check that the concerned DTC is not displayed.

        HINT: 

        If the DTC is displayed on the screen, the trouble is still present. Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs. After solving the DTC, repeat from step 1).

      3. After initial setting of the power window, use the power window switch to operate the automatic up/down feature and check that the window works in automatic operation.

        Refer to REGISTRATION [11/2021 - ] 

      4. Using the GTS, read the [Power Window (Switch)], [Power Window (Driver)] or [Power Window (Passenger)] DTC and check that the concerned DTC is not displayed.

        HINT: 

        If the DTC is displayed on the screen, the trouble is still present. Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs.

      Body Electrical > Power Window (Passenger) > Trouble Codes 

    5. INSPECTION MODE 5

      B2B10 Passenger's Door Power Window Driver's Door Auto Switch Stuck -

      Diagnostic procedure: 

      1. Using the GTS, perform the clear memory of [Power Window (Passenger)].
      2. Using the GTS, read the DTC of [Power Window (Passenger)] to check that there is no DTC displayed.

        HINT: 

        If the DTC is displayed on the screen, the trouble is still present. Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs. After solving the DTC, repeat from step 1).

      3. Using the driver's side power window switch, operate the automatic up/down feature and check that the window works in automatic operation.
      4. Using the GTS, read the DTC of [Power Window (Passenger)] to check that there is no DTC displayed.

        HINT: 

        If the DTC is displayed on the screen, the trouble is still present. Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs.

      Diagnostic procedure: 

      1. Using the GTS, perform the clear memory of [Power Window (Passenger)].
      2. Using the GTS, read the DTC of [Power Window (Passenger)] to check that there is no DTC displayed.

        HINT: 

        If the DTC is displayed on the screen, the trouble is still present. Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs. After solving the DTC, repeat from step 1).

      3. Using the driver's side power window switch, operate the manual up feature and check that the window rolls up.
      4. Using the GTS, read the DTC of [Power Window (Passenger)] to check that there is no DTC displayed.

        HINT: 

        If the DTC is displayed on the screen, the trouble is still present. Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs.

    7. INSPECTION MODE 7

      Diagnostic procedure: 

      1. Using the GTS, perform the clear memory of [Power Window (Passenger)].
      2. Using the GTS, read the DTC of [Power Window (Passenger)] to check that there is no DTC displayed.

        HINT: 

        If the DTC is displayed on the screen, the trouble is still present. Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs. After solving the DTC, repeat from step 1).

      3. Using the driver's side power window switch, operate the manual down feature and check that the window rolls down.
      4. Using the GTS, read the DTC of [Power Window (Passenger)] to check that there is no DTC displayed.

        HINT: 

        If the DTC is displayed on the screen, the trouble is still present. Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs.

      Diagnostic procedure: 

      1. Using the GTS, perform the clear memory of [Power Window (Passenger)].
      2. Using the GTS, read the DTC of [Power Window (Passenger)] to check that there is no DTC displayed.

        HINT: 

        If the DTC is displayed on the screen, the trouble is still present. Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs. After solving the DTC, repeat from step 1).

      3. Using the passenger's side power window switch, operate the automatic up/down feature and check that the window rolls up and down.
      4. Using the GTS, read the DTC of [Power Window (Passenger)] to check that there is no DTC displayed.

        HINT: 

        If the DTC is displayed on the screen, the trouble is still present. Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs.

      Diagnostic procedure: 

      1. Using the GTS, perform the clear memory of [Power Window (Passenger)].
      2. Using the GTS, read the DTC of [Power Window (Passenger)] to check that there is no DTC displayed.

        HINT: 

        If the DTC is displayed on the screen, the trouble is still present. Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs. After solving the DTC, repeat from step 1).

      3. Using the passenger's side power window switch, operate the manual up feature and check that the window rolls up.
      4. Using the GTS, read the DTC of [Power Window (Passenger)] to check that there is no DTC displayed.

      Diagnostic procedure: 

      1. Using the GTS, perform the clear memory of [Power Window (Passenger)].
      2. Using the GTS, read the DTC of [Power Window (Passenger)] to check that there is no DTC displayed.

        HINT: 

        If the DTC is displayed on the screen, the trouble is still present. Perform the diagnosis for the displayed DTCs. After solving the DTC, repeat from step 1).

      3. Using the passenger's side power window switch, operate the manual down feature and check that the window rolls down.
      4. Using the GTS, read the DTC of [Power Window (Passenger)] to check that there is no DTC displayed.

        HINT:
