On-Vehicle Inspection [11/2021 - ]: Procedure
- INSPECT MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE SENSOR
- Turn the ignition switch to ON. (do not start the engine)
- According to the display on the GTS read the Data List.
Powertrain > Engine Control System > Data List
Tester Display Mani. Absolute Pressure OK
The value is approximately equal to atmospheric pressure.
HINT:
- Standard atmospheric pressure is approximately 101 kPa (abs) (1.0 kgf/cm2 (abs), 15 psi (abs)).
- For every 100 m (328 ft) increase in altitude, atmospheric pressure drops by approximately 1 kPa (0.01 kgf/cm2 , 0.15 psi). This varies by weather.
