Installation [11/2021 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Exhaust Side of Bank 2)

      1. Install the timing gear cover O-ring to the camshaft timing oil control valve.
      2. Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new timing gear or chain cover gasket.
      3. Install the timing gear or chain cover gasket to the camshaft timing oil control valve.
      4. Install the camshaft timing oil control valve with the 2 bolts.

        Torque: 6.4 N*m (65 kgf*cm, 57 in.*lbf) 

      5. Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.
  2. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Exhaust Side of Bank 1)

      1. Install the timing gear cover O-ring to the camshaft timing oil control valve.
      2. Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new timing gear or chain cover gasket.
      3. Install the timing gear or chain cover gasket to the camshaft timing oil control valve.
      4. Install the camshaft timing oil control valve with the 2 bolts.

        Torque: 6.4 N*m (65 kgf*cm, 57 in.*lbf) 

      5. Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.
  3. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Intake Side of Bank 2)

      1. Install the timing gear cover O-ring to the camshaft timing oil control valve.
      2. Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new timing gear or chain cover gasket.
      3. Install the timing gear or chain cover gasket to the camshaft timing oil control valve.
      4. Install the camshaft timing oil control valve with the 2 bolts.

        Torque: 6.4 N*m (65 kgf*cm, 57 in.*lbf) 

      5. Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.
  4. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Intake Side of Bank 1)

      1. Install the timing gear cover O-ring to the camshaft timing oil control valve.
      2. Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new timing gear or chain cover gasket.
      3. Install the timing gear or chain cover gasket to the camshaft timing oil control valve.
      4. Install the camshaft timing oil control valve with the 2 bolts.

        Torque: 6.4 N*m (65 kgf*cm, 57 in.*lbf) 

      5. Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.
  5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5
  6. INITIALIZATION AFTER RECONNECTING BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to WORK PROCEDURE [11/2021 - ]

    HINT: 

    When disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.
