DTC P0606-94: Control Module Processor Unexpected Operation [02/2024 - ]: Procedure

  1. CLEAR DTC 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. None

      Procedure1

    2. Clear the DTCs.

      Powertrain > Engine > Clear DTCs 

      Result

      Proceed to
      NEXT

      Post-procedure1

    3. Turn the ignition switch off.

    Result: 

    NEXT

  2. READ OUTPUT DTC (DTC P0606-94) 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal and wait for 1 minute.
    2. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON (READY).
    4. While the engine is running, repeat the accelerator pedal operation (press the accelerator pedal from a state where it is not depressed) several times.
    5. Drive the vehicle.

      Procedure1

    6. Read the DTCs.

      Powertrain > Engine > Trouble Codes 

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTCs are not output A
      P0606-94 is output B

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ACCELERATOR PEDAL SENSOR ASSEMBLY - ECM) 

    Pre-procedure1

    1. Disconnect the accelerator pedal sensor assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the ECM connector.

      Procedure1

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A23-6 (VPA) - A9-85 (VPA) Always Below 1 Ω
      A23-3 (VPA2) - A9-88 (VPA2) Always Below 1 Ω
      A23-4 (VCPA) - A9-87 (VCPA) Always Below 1 Ω
      A23-1 (VCP2) - A9-90 (VCP2) Always Below 1 Ω
      A23-5 (EPA) - A9-86 (EPA) Always Below 1 Ω
      A23-2 (EPA2) - A9-89 (EPA2) Always Below 1 Ω
      A23-6 (VPA) or A9-85 (VPA) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A23-3 (VPA2) or A9-88 (VPA2) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A23-4 (VCPA) or A9-87 (VCPA) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A23-1 (VCP2) or A9-90 (VCP2) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A23-5 (EPA) or A9-86 (EPA) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
      A23-2 (EPA2) or A9-89 (EPA2) - Body ground and other terminals Always 10 kΩ or higher
