Removal [03/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER LOWER PROTECTOR 

    Refer to REMOVAL [03/2019 - ]

  2. DISCONNECT STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT ASSEMBLY 

    See step  2

  3. REMOVE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [07/2020 - ]

  4. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to REMOVAL [07/2020 - ]

  5. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY 

    HINT: 

    If removal of the steering column is part of these repair instructions, bring the steering column back to a centrally retracted position after removing the steering column shroud upper section.

    1. Release the vehicle wiring harness from the brackets (1) and put to one side.

    2. Loosen T45 bolts (1).

    3. Release the T45 bolts (2) and remove the steering column assembly (1).

      NOTE:

      Secure the steering column (1) against dropping.
