Removal [03/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 12

  2. REMOVE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (for Intake Side) 
    NOTE:
    • Electrostatic discharge.

      Damage to or destruction of electrical components.

      • Only touch the housings of electrical components. Do not touch pins or multi-pin connectors directly.

    1. Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.

    2. Loosen T20 bolt (2).
    3. Thread out and remove the camshaft position sensor of the intake camshaft (3).
  3. REMOVE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (for Exhaust Side) 
    WARNING:
    • Hot surfaces.

      Risk of burning!

      • Perform all work only on components that have cooled down.
    NOTE:
    • Electrostatic discharge.

      Damage to or destruction of electrical components.

      • Only touch the housings of electrical components. Do not touch pins or multi-pin connectors directly.

    1. Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.

    2. Loosen T20 bolt (2).
    3. Guide the camshaft position sensor of the exhaust camshaft (3) out and remove.
