Removal [03/2019 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD 

    Refer to REMOVAL [03/2019 - ]

  2. REMOVE KNOCK SENSOR (for Bank 1) 
    NOTE:
    • Electrostatic discharge.

      Damage to or destruction of electrical components.

      • Only touch the housings of electrical components. Do not touch pins or multi-pin connectors directly.
      • For additional information see:

        Refer to PRECAUTION [03/2019 - ]

    1. Loosen E8 bolts (1).

    2. Detach coolant line and wiring harness from the intake manifold stay (2).
    3. Guide out and remove intake manifold stay (2).
    4. Unlock connector (1) and pull off.

    5. Loosen E10 bolt (2).
    6. Remove the knock sensor (3).
  3. REMOVE KNOCK SENSOR (for Bank 2) 
    NOTE:
    • Electrostatic discharge.

      Damage to or destruction of electrical components.

      • Only touch the housings of electrical components. Do not touch pins or multi-pin connectors directly.
      • For additional information see:

    1. Unlock connector (1) and pull off.

    2. Loosen E10 bolt (2).
    3. Remove the knock sensor (3).
