Side Door Check Link Removal And Installation/Replacement

Removal Procedure: 

The procedure for the left-hand component is identical to that for the right-hand side. 

1. Front door: Remove door speaker. Refer to FRONT SIDE DOOR SPEAKER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
2. Rear door: Remove door speaker. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR SPEAKER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT

3. Open door and secure.
   NOTE: Damage 
   Risk of damage to vehicle paint work.

   • Mask off/protect paint work appropriately to avoid damage.
4. Remove bolt (1).

   Torque: 8 Nm

5. Remove 2 bolts (1).

   Torque: 19 Nm 

6. Remove the side door check link (2) through the speaker opening.

Installation Procedure: 

1. Installation is the reverse of removal procedure, noting the following.

   All fasteners must be tightened to torque specification! 

2. Front door: Install door speaker. Refer to FRONT SIDE DOOR SPEAKER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
3. Rear door: Install door speaker. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR SPEAKER REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
