Audio Amplifier Removal And Installation/Replacement

Overview: 

Removal Procedure: 

1. Disconnect the 12V battery negative terminal. Refer to 12V BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
2. Remove C-pillar lower trim panel (right side). Refer to C-PILLAR LOWER TRIM PANEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
3. Remove 3 nuts (1).

   Torque: 5 Nm 

4. Remove the Gateway Assembly (2) and set aside.
5. Unlock and disconnect 2 electrical connectors (1).
6. Remove audio amplifier (1).

Installation Procedure: 

1. Installation is the reverse of removal procedure, noting the following.

   All fasteners must be tightened to torque specification! 

2. Install C-pillar lower trim panel (right side). Refer to C-PILLAR LOWER TRIM PANEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
3. Reconnect the 12V battery negative terminal. Refer to 12V BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION
4. Diagnostics, Programming and Setup. Refer to DIAGNOSTICS, PROGRAMMING AND SETUP USING IDS IN SERVICE
