Accessory Side Steps Installation

Removal Procedure:
The procedure for the left-hand component is identical to that for the right-hand side.
- Lift the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE
- Remove both front side doors. Refer to FRONT SIDE DOOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
- Remove both rear side doors. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
- Remove both front wheel opening moldings. Refer to FRONT WHEEL OPENING MOLDING REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
- Remove both rocker panel moldings. Refer to ROCKER PANEL MOLDING REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
- Remove 7 bolts (1).
Torque: 19 Nm
- Remove 10 bolts (1).
Torque: 19 Nm
- Remove the side sill inner (2).
Removal note: The side sill inner (2) will not be reused.
Installation Procedure:
- Install the new side step reinforcement (1) and fix it with 10 bolts (2) and tighten it.
Torque: 19 Nm
- Insert and tighten 7 bolts (1).
Torque: 19 Nm
- Insert 15 retaining clamps (1).
- Install 5 retaining clips (1).
- Install 2 sealing rings (2).
- Attach and align rocker panel molding (1).
- Fasten 5 clips (2).
- Insert and tighten 8 screws (1).
Torque: 2.6 Nm
- Align and clip in the side step running board inlay (1).
- Install blind rivet (1) in rear wheelhouse with riveting pliers.
- Install blind rivet (1) in front wheelhouse with riveting pliers.
- Install expanding rivet (2).
- Install rear tire air deflector. Refer to REAR TIRE AIR DEFLECTOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
- Install both front wheel opening moldings. Refer to FRONT WHEEL OPENING MOLDING REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
- Install both rear side doors. Refer to REAR SIDE DOOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
- Install both front side doors. Refer to FRONT SIDE DOOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION/REPLACEMENT
