Identifying steering columns

NOTE: The following lists refers to items in Fig 1.
  1. - Steering column

    Manufacturer; Nacam 

    1. - Transportation securing device 
      • Remove first after steering column is installed
    2. - Steering column 

      The steering column is not visible in area - 2 - 

    3. - Steering column universal joint/shaft 
    4. - Hex head bolt, 22 N.m (16.2 ft. lb) 
      • Installed without locking fluid
  2. - Steering column 

    Manufacturer; Presta 

    1. - Transportation securing device 
      • Remove first after steering column is installed
    2. - Steering column 

      The lower part of the steering column is visible 

    3. - Steering column universal joint/shaft 
    4. - Hex head bolt, 22 N.m (16.2 ft. lb) 
      • Inserted with locking fluid
      • Use locking fluid D 000 600
