Overview - Control Module And Hydraulic Unit - Version 1
NOTE:
Version 1 - For vehicles through 11/02/2015
There are different Brake System Pressure Reservoir -VX70- and the brake master cylinder installed.
These differ by the quantity of connected brake lines and the installation of the breather valve.
Because of this there are different connection diagrams for the brake lines on the brake master cylinder on the Brake System Pressure Reservoir -VX70- and on the ABS Hydraulic Unit -N55-.
- Brake Line
- With standard tool: 14 Nm
- Brake master cylinder/primary piston circuit to hydraulic unit
- Identification: 6 mm diameter and pipe fitting with a M12 x 1 thread
- With Mini Torque Wrench:VAS6854 , Torque Wrench - Universal Joint:VAG1410/7 and Open Ring Spanner Insert - AF 11mm:VAG1410/6 : 12 Nm
- Brake Line
- With standard tool: 14 Nm
- Brake master cylinder/secondary piston circuit to hydraulic unit
- Identification: 6 mm diameter and pipe fitting with a M12 x 1 thread
- With Mini Torque Wrench:VAS6854 , Torque Wrench - Universal Joint:VAG1410/7 and Open Ring Spanner Insert - AF 11mm:VAG1410/6 : 12 Nm
- Brake Booster
- Overview. Refer to OVERVIEW - BRAKE BOOSTER/BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER, - VERSION 1 .

- ABS Control Module -J104- and ABS Hydraulic Unit -N55-

- To the right rear brake caliper
- Identification: 5.25 mm diameter and tube fitting with a M10 x 1 thread
- With Mini Torque Wrench:VAS6854 , Torque Wrench - Universal Joint:VAG1410/7 and Open Ring Spanner Insert - AF 11mm:VAG1410/6 : 12 Nm

- To the left front brake caliper
- Identification: 5.25 mm diameter and tube fitting with a M10 x 1 thread
