Transmission Identification

Transmissions are manufactured by either Aisin-Warner (AW) or Borg-Warner (BW). Units are interchangeable with exception of oil cooler pipes, which must be changed to match particular unit installed.

Transmissions may be identified by plate attached to left side of transmission case. Plate shows manufacturer (AW or BW), transmission model number, and transmission serial number.
