Retrieving Codes: Notes

  1. Connect Test Diode Tester (5280 ) to test connector on left side of wheel housing (Yellow/Red wire). Connect Test Diode Red wire to positive battery terminal.
  2. Move Test Diode Tester into passenger compartment. Turn ignition to the "ON" position. Test Diode light should display a steady light. Start and run engine at 920 RPM. Test Diode light should go out.
  3. Drive vehicle a short distance at low and high loads. If a problem should develop, test Diode LED will flash indicating a problem.
NOTE: The following is a list of fault codes, giving symptom, cause and action.
