Checking the resistance in the signal cable

• DSA control module disconnected.
• Engine control module (ECM) disconnected.
• Breakout box connected to the engine control module (ECM).

  FENIX 5.1 

  • Connect an ohmmeter between DSA control module connector terminal 5 and engine control module (ECM) breakout box terminal 41.

  EMS 2000 

  • Connect an ohmmeter between DSA control module connector terminal 5 and engine control module (ECM) breakout box terminal 36.

The ohmmeter should read approximately 0 Ω. 

• OK 

  Refer to Checking the signal cable resistance to ground 

• NOT OK 

  Refer to Checking for an open-circuit
