Checking the ground lead

Connect a voltmeter between mass air flow (MAF) sensor connector terminal #1 (engine control module (ECM) side) and ground.

The ohmmeter should read approximately 0 Ω. 

• OK 

  Refer to Defective mass air flow (MAF) sensor 

• NOT OK 

  Refer to Checking wiring and terminals
