Checking The Component And Wiring

Check signal cable for an open-circuit and short-circuit to supply voltage.

Take readings between:

• Engine Control Module (ECM) #A86 (#B26) and boost pressure sensor #4.

Check the ground lead. Check for an open-circuit.

Take readings between:

• Engine Control Module (ECM) #A38 (#A38) and boost pressure sensor #1.

HINT: The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) may be caused by a damaged boost pressure sensor. 

Remedy as necessary.
