Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information ECM-5200

Condition 

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the engine control module (ECM) registers engine speed (RPM) above approximately 600 RPM, speed 0 km/h, without the ignition key being in position 3 and it is interpreted as a fault (low signal).

It is interpreted as a fault and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the engine control module (ECM) registers the ignition key in position 3 while driving.

• None.

Possible Source 

Signal too high 

• Short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable from the ignition switch.

Signal too low 

• Short-circuit to ground in the signal cable from the ignition switch
• Open-circuit in the signal cable from the ignition switch.
