Checking The Component And Wiring

HINT: The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) for this fault can be stored in the central electronic module (CEM). Reading diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) in the central electronic module (CEM). 

Check the fuse for the circuit.

Check the signal cable between engine control module (ECM) terminal #B17 (#C17) and the central electronic module (CEM). Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for an open-circuit.

Remedy as necessary.
