Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information SRS-B00801A

Condition 

The Supplemental restraint system module (SRS) checks the resistance in the circuit to the adaptive seat belt force limiter, driver's.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:

• The resistance is too low.
• Incorrect value runs longer than 2.5 seconds.

The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:

• Ignition position II and III.

Substitute Value 

• None.

Possible Source 

• Short-circuit in wiring.
• Short-circuit in connections.
• Short-circuit in the driver's adaptive seat belt force limiter (resistance too low in the igniter).

Fault symptom[s] 

• SRS warning light on
• SRS warning message displayed
