DESCRIPTION:
Due to an unclear procedure damage may occur to the Driver Information Module (DIM) if it needs to be replaced.
There is no function implemented that provides the possibility to program mileage to the DIM in P1 vehicles.
For P1x vehicles, the DIM is always mileage master if mileage is greater than 3 miles
SERVICE:
To make sure that the DIM milage is written first to the CEM and then to the DIM, follow this Procedure
1. Disconnect VIDA, take out the ignition key, close and lock the door and let the car go to sleep. At least min. (Assures that correct mileage is written to CEM)
2. Unlock the door, change DIM.
3. Ignition on, Reload DIM
4. Disconnect VIDA ,take out the ignition key, close and lock the door and let the car go to sleep. At least 2 min. (Assures that correct mileage is written to DIM)
