Checking Components And Wiring

Fig 1: Identifying Ignition OFF

Ignition off
Disconnect connector A for the phone module (PHM).
Check the cradle signal's cable for open circuit.

Measure between the control module's connector A #8 (#8) and the handset's connector #4 (#24).

Check the cradle signal's cable on the control module's connector A for short-circuit to voltage.

Check between:
- #8 (#8) and #7 (#7).
- #8 (#8) and #5 (#5).
If the cable is trouble-free, try replacing handset or holder.

Remedy as necessary.
