DESCRIPTION

If experiencing the below described symptoms, please see advice under "Service".
Symptoms:
- Cannot Lock/unlock vehicle with the "RCK", but vehicle can be unlocked with the mechanical key blade located inside the "RCK" (see attachment "Mechanical location ").
- If symptom #1 has been confirmed and starting the vehicle with the "RCK" in the backup position and DIM message states "E-call service required" or attempting to start the vehicle through keyless function, and DIM message states "Key not found" (see attachment "Backup Position" for backup location).
- The vehicle can be started with the "RCK" in the backup position located in the tunnel console, while having DIM message "SOS E-call service required" (see attachement "Backup position" for backup location).
- No communication when attempting to connect/readout vehicle with VI DA.
Symptom for PHEV/BEV vehicles:

Symptom #1 has been confirmed and the vehicle cannot be started with the "RCK" in the backup position due to not being able to disconnect the charging cable, please see removing of cable instruction under service (also see attachment TJ-36195 BEV
or TJ-36195 PHEV). NOTE: This TJ is only applicable for vehicles with a TCAM unit.

SERVICE
Perform a Total Upgrade according to TJ 31543.
A TCAM reset might be required prior to SWDL, please see below:
TCAM reset method:
Make the TCAM powerless by removing TCAM fuse + TCAM BU B connector for approximately 30 sec, before reconnecting the TCAM BUB connector and the TCAM fuse.
TCAM FUSE:
XC90/S90/S90L/V90/V90CC/: CF39
XC60/S60/V60/V60CC: CF39
XC40/C40: CF27
PHEV/BEV Charging cable: For removal/disconnection of the charging cable, please follow the steps below:
- PHEV:
- Unlock the vehicle with the mechanical key blade inside the "RCK".
- Place the "RCK" in the backup position.
- Turn the ignition switch.
- If the vehicle "wakes up," press the central unlock button according to attachement (visualization of the steps in attachment TJ-36195 PHEV.jpg).
- BEV:
- Unlock the vehicle with the mechanical key blade inside the "RCK".
- Place the "RCK" in the backup position.
- If the vehicle "wakes up," press the release the cable message in the CSD (visualization of the steps in attachment TJ-36195 BEV.jpg).
