Removal & Installation

Rotate engine clockwise until No. 1 piston is at top dead center. Remove upper timing belt covers. See Fig 1 . Remove timing belt from camshaft pulleys. Remove left camshaft pulley. Remove left backing plate. Remove CKP sensor. To install, reverse removal procedure. Check camshaft timing and ignition timing.
