Removal & Installation
- Switch off ignition.
- Remove cover strip from left door spoiler.
- Remove loudspeaker cover from front left footwell.
- Fold away carpet from door spoiler.
- Unlock cable connector and remove from control unit (1). See Fig 1
.
- Unfasten retaining screws from control unit and lift out.
- To install, reverse removal procedure.
- Reinitialize new control unit. See REINITIALIZING ABS/ASC+T CONTROL UNIT

- On vehicles with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), a steering angle adjustment must also be made with Diagnosis and Information System(DIS) under the menu item "Service Functions".
- On vehicles with ABS/ASC+T from 12/94, if the control unit is replaced the ABS engine relay must also be replaced. The valve relay clicks when the ignition is switched on and off. The engine relay does not demonstrate any reaction.
