Car access system (CAS)

The Car Access System (CAS) supplies the enable signal allowing operation of the slide/tilt sunroof. The Car Access System (CAS) transmits the status "Terminal 50 on" via K CAN2. The roof function center (FZD) prevents activation of the drive units and also suspends any ongoing travel motion while the engine is being started. This increases the amount of voltage available to the starter motor.
