New F48 Tools 

SITUATION

Distribution of the following tools will be through the Automatic Tool Shipment Program. Additional tools may be purchased through your Regional Distribution Center (RDC).

Pump Gauge

Order P/N 83 30 2 410 135

• The pump gauge is used to lock the B46 crankshaft to remove the high pressure pump central bolt.
• For complete detailed information on this tool refer to ISTA Repair Manual section 11 31 052.

TDC Adapter

Order P/N 83 30 2 365 488

• The Top Dead Center (TDC) Adapter is used in conjunction with 83 30 2 288 380 (B04 16 14 ) to lock the B46 crankshaft at TDC #1 cylinder.
• For complete detailed information on this tool refer to ISTA Repair Manual section 11 31 005.

Pressing Adapter

Support Pin

Order P/N 83 30 2 406 773

Refer to illustration RB3300457 for tool use.

• Support Pin 2 406 773 and Pressing Adapter 0 496 862 are used in conjunction with 335 120/122 (B04 39 06 ) to press-out the output shaft on the rear axle differential.

Adapter

Order P/N 83 30 2 406 774

• The adapter is used to install the output shaft on the rear axle differential.
• The adapter prevents damage during the installation.
