Diagnostic Modes: Notes

NOTE: The terms "Enter Diagnostics" and "Exit Diagnostics" will be used periodically throughout this section. Follow Entering Diagnostic Mode procedure when instructed to "Enter Diagnostics". Follow Exiting Diagnostic Mode procedure when instructed to "Exit Diagnostics".

NOTE: Operating vehicle in "DIAGNOSTIC (SERVICE) MODE" for extended time periods without engine running or without a battery charger will cause battery to run down and possibly related false diagnostic information, or cause a no start condition. To ensure proper operation, attach a battery charger if vehicle is to be operated in "DIAGNOSTIC (SERVICE) MODE" without engine running for periods longer than 1/2 hour.
