Crankshaft/Combination Sensor (C3I): Installation
- Loosely install sensor on pedestal. Position sensor, with pedestal attached, onto Installer (J-37089). See Fig 1
. Position installer onto crankshaft.
- Install pedestal-to-block bolts. Tighten bolts to 18-26 ft. lbs. (25-35 N.m). Tighten pedestal pinch bolt to 26-44 INCH lbs. (3-5 N.m). Remove installer. Install foreign object deflector. Place harmonic balancer onto installer. Rotate balancer on installer. If any vanes of interrupter rings contact installer, replace harmonic balancer.
- Install balancer on crankshaft. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Tighten balancer retaining bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
