Removal & Installation

  1. Electronic Suspension Control (ESC) module is located behind seat rear seat back on right side of bay board. Remove front trim panel in rear compartment. See Figure . Remove fasteners and cable clips from trunk pass-through release cable. Push rearward and upward on front of rear seat cushion. Disconnect heated seats electrical connectors (if equipped) and remove rear seat cushion.
  2. Remove center seat belt, shoulder belt buckle and seat back anchor bolts. Place center shoulder belt on rear shelf panel. Using a straight flat-blade tool, insert between top of seat back and rear of shelf panel and push down on rear seat back retainers. See Figure . Release 4 retainers and pull seat back away from vehicle.
  3. Remove pass through cable from seat back. Disconnect heated seat and rear lumbar electrical connector, if equipped. Position rear shoulder belts to clear rear seat back during removal. Remove the rear seat back from vehicle.
  4. Reposition rear seat back insulator. Disconnect ESC module electrical connectors. See Fig 1 . Depress locking tabs and slide ESC module toward center of vehicle to remove. To install, reverse removal procedure.
