Removal & Installation
- Open rear compartment lid. Remove cargo net and plastic screws attaching sill plate to vehicle. Remove sill plate. Remove rear compartment mat and spare tire cover retainer bolt. Remove spare tire cover, spare tire, scissor jack and mounting bolt.
- Remove 4 screws from OnStar(R) module bracket assembly, if equipped. Disengage retainers securing coaxial cable to seat back panel. Lower OnStar(R) module bracket assembly into rear compartment.
- Remove remote CD changer, if necessary. Remove cargo net trim panel retainers. Remove the push-in retainers located near the rear compartment lid hinges which retain the rear compartment trim panel. Remove rear compartment trim panel from vehicle.
- Disconnect electrical connector and coaxial cable from cellular telephone module. Remove 3 mounting screws attaching module bracket assembly to vehicle. See Fig 1
. Remove screws attaching module to bracket. To install, reverse removal procedure.
