Programming Using GM Tech 2

  1. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Turn ignition switch to RUN position.
  3. Using scan tool, select REMOTE FUNCTION ACTUATION special function. Program remote transmitters to place RCDLR into program mode. Doors will lock and unlock to confirm program mode.
    4. NOTE: Scan tool must stay connected until all remote transmitters are programmed.
  4. Press and hold LOCK and UNLOCK buttons simultaneously on first remote transmitter. After a 15 second delay, doors will lock and unlock to confirm programming of remote transmitter.
  5. Repeat previous step to program up to 4 remote transmitters.
  6. Remove scan tool.
  7. Operate remote transmitter functions to verify system operation.
