Removal & Installation

- Raise and support vehicle. Remove left front wheel and left front splash guard. Remove left air injection pump to gain access to Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM). See Figure .
- Ensure area around EBCM is free from loose dirt to prevent contamination of Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) components. Thoroughly wash all components around EBCM. Rotate EBCM connector tab up to unlocked position. Remove connector position assurance from EBCM connector and disconnect. Ensure ignition switch is in OFF position. Disconnect EBCM harness connector.
- Disconnect Brake Pressure Modulator Valve (BPMV) pump motor harness connector from bottom of EBCM. Remove 6 screws attaching EBCM to BPMV and separate EBCM from BRMV. See Fig 1 . To install, reverse removal procedure.
