Removal Procedure

Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling

Using a flat bladed plastic trim tool, release the retaining clips. @ Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover (1)
Pull rearward to clear the tab and remove the instrument panel outer trim cover (1).

Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Bolt (1) - Remove [4x]

Instrument Panel Knee Bolster (1) - Remove

{If equipped} Instrument Panel Insulator Nut (1) - Remove
Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Insulator Bolt (2) - Remove
Disconnect the instrument panel wiring harness (3) from the instrument panel lower trim panel insulator.

Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Insulator - Left Side (1) - Remove

Remove the wire harness clip (1) at the front floor air outlet duct.
Disconnect the electrical connector. (3)
Floor Front Air Outlet Duct Bolt (2) - Remove
