Circuit/System Description

A direct current (DC) fast charge drive motor battery charger cable allows vehicles to be charged using a 400+ V offboard DC charger. The K16 Battery Energy Control Module automatically prohibits voltage transfer to the Hybrid/Electric Vehicle battery charger coupler if an internal fault or inadequate voltage is detected. If no faults are detected, voltage transfer through the X98 Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Battery Charger Coupler directly to the A4 Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Battery Pack occurs.
