DISTRIBUTOR

Remove and Replace

1. Hoist vehicle.
2. Support vehicle using jack stands.
3. Remove two (2) rear cradle attaching bolts. Lower cradle enough to allow access to distributor.
4. Remove five (5) screws attaching brake line support to floorpan.
5. Remove coil wire from distributor.
6. Remove distributor cap.
7. Note position of rotor and distributor to block alignment mark.
8. Loosen distributor clamp screws and slide clamp out-of-the way.
9. Remove distributor from engine.
10. Reverse removal procedure to install distributor.

NOTICE: It is necessary to use cradle alignment pins when replacing cradle attaching bolts.
