Removal & Installation: Boot: Installation

  1. To install, ensure all surfaces are clean. Lubricate boot contact areas on inner tie rod end and housing with grease before installing boot. Install boot, aligning reference mark with mark on housing.
  2. Install new boot seal clamps. Using Clamp Pliers (J-22610), tighten boot clamps. Ensure boot is not twisted. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
