Door Latch Module Assembly: Installation

Before installing, see the note under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION PRECAUTIONS  in this section.

1. Install door latch module assembly.
2. Install screws. Tighten screw to a torque of 89 Lb. INCH (10 N.m)
   • Latch module assembly must be held tight against door facing while driving all attaching screws.
   • All screws must be driven at a 90 degrees angle to the door facing.
   • Screwdriver torque must not be above the specified maximum.
3. Install rivets. Attach upper most forward rivet first.
4. Connect wire harness to lock actuator connector, if equipped.
5. Install outside door handle rod to door latch.
6. Install rear glass run channel retainer and screw. Tighten screws to a torque of 97 Lb. INCH (11 N.m). Reposition water deflector.
7. Install door trim panel. See DOOR TRIM PANEL  . Move upper half of water deflector to gain access.
