Conventional Ignition

Description:

Removal Procedure
1. Turn the ignition key OFF.
2. Remove foreign material from around the spark plug holes.
3. Remove the wires from the plugs.
4. Remove the spark plug using a spark plug socket.

Installation Procedure
1. Adjust the spark plug gap using a round wire type spark plug gap gauge. While gapping the plug be sure to keep the platinum pads aligned to ensure maximum plug life.
2 Install new plugs and tighten properly.
3. Reapply dielectric lubricant to the insulator boot. Tighten to 18 Nm (13 lb ft).
4. Reattach the boots to the plugs.
