Voltmeter Reading Is Inaccurate

  1. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using test light, backprobe instrument cluster harness connector terminal No. 31 (Black/White wire) to battery voltage. If test light lights, go to next step. If test light does not light, repair open in Black/White wire.
  2. Using voltmeter, backprobe instrument cluster harness connector terminal No. 22 (Pink wire) to ground. If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open in Pink wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, check instrument cluster printed circuit for open. If printed circuit is okay, replace voltmeter.
